Baseball Player Comparison Profiles
The Baseball Conditioning Coaches at Performance Training Systems trains our athletes against professional performance standards. Through our experience in working with Ball players of all levels, and in studying the physical and physiological demands of the game, Performance Training Systems has developed a series of performance standards for A, AA, AAA, and MLB athletes.

Professional baseball scouts rank players across 5 primary categories through a score of 1-8 (with 8 being a top score); (1) Power - the ability to hit HR's and produce RBI's, (2) Speed, (3) Batting Average, (4) Fielding Percentage, and (5) Throwing - a function of accuracy and velocity. Performance Training Systems encourages all developing ball players to place equal training time and effort on enhancing each of these abilities. However, in consideration of the positional differences characteristic to the game, 16-17 year old athletes can begin to specialize. That is, they can begin to place greater focus on the attributes that scouts look for in positional players.
Whether you're trying to earn athletic or academic scholarship attention at the CIS or NCAA level, or a AA athlete looking to crack AAA at camp next year, training with these standards as your target, you will attract the attention of the scouts standing on the other side of the lines and sitting in the stands.

This page is dedicated to identifying and isolating the Performance Attributes and Positional Differences recognized by professional scouts in assessing Baseball talent.
